OK, Not Exactly; At Least Us PC Gamers Get To Play It In The Right Order

In 2010 console owners, well at least those with a PS3 or Xbox 360, got a chance to immerse themselves in the Old West with the release of Red Dead Redemption.  In 2018 they had a chance to discover the history of John Marston in Red Dead Redemption 2.  The glorious PC race had to wait another year to load up RDR2 as the port wasn’t released until 2019 and took more than a few patches to get all the bugs fixed, not that this stopped it from raking in US$725 million over a single weekend.  After 14 years and change, Red Dead Redemption is hitting the PC and we will be able to check it out on October 29th.

It will launch with the Undead Nightmare standalone expansion on Steam and Epic in addition to Rockstar Games, though you can bet you’ll still need to install The Rockstar Games Launcher to play.

The game is likely to suffer from a bit of consolitis, however it will launch with features that Starfield is still working on; support for 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios on day one.  It will handle 4k if your hardware has the power to push it, and support NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3 if it can’t.  You will get HDR10 support and while the refresh rate can’t be unlocked it will support up to 144Hz.  Get your mouse and keyboard ready for a dust up, and keep an eye out for what modders can bring to the game.

It will hit the Rockstar Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 29 with the Undead Nightmare standalone expansion included. Developer Double Eleven helped Rockstar with the port, which has many of the bells and whistles you'd come to expect from a PC version of a classic.

fuckin FINALY!!!!!!!!!! I’m only mildly interested in the campaign but I’ve wanted to do undead nightmare for a LONG time. But 70$canadian? I mean Iunserstand the amount of cost in porting something like that, but still 70$ for a 14 year old game is kinda hard to pay. I’m also kinda woried about porting such an old game. I still get shivers thinking about the audio for halo reach pc. We’ll see

I was waiting on RDR2 for the longest time and ended up playing the first (and second) time during lockdown. now THAT was a great distraction.
