Wondering Why You Can’t See Windows 11 24H2? Here’s A Handy Incompatibility List

A Living List; Some Will Be Fixed, Some Will Be Added
Bleeping Computer have compiled a list of the hardware and software which will cause Win11 24H2 to be hidden from your Windows Update or will cause you frustration if you force the update. It is long and varied, from a Voicemeeter app causing BSoDs to a variety of Wallpaper customization apps which will fail to display that causes 24H2 to be hidden. ASUS users are likely annoyed that both the X415KA and X515KA models are currently incompatible with 24H2 as will users of a variety of laptops that use Windows Hello fingerprint authentication.
Gamers may also run into frustration, as older versions of Easy Anti-Cheat will cause a BSOD instead of a Fortnite session, though thankfully an update to that ant-cheat software should resolve the problem. The same goes for anyone that likes to race in Asphalt 8 (Airborne) which will freeze on 24H2 and thus the update is hidden.
One that may frustrate security teams is Safe Exam Browser, an add-in/extension to help schools and corporations ensure their internal examinations are secure. You can either have this browser add-in or Win11 24H2, but not both.
Microsoft places compatibility holds on specific devices using hardware or applications that may conflict with Windows 11 24H2, causing crashes, performance issues, freezes, or other unusual behavior.
