A Closer Look At The Radeon 890M iGPU

Don’t Get It For The AI, Get It For The iGPU
We haven’t really taken a look at AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU, though perhaps one day we will need a PCPer LLM to produce content while we take a nap instead of producing content for you. The same is not true of KitGuru who tested the power of the performance enhanced Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 when it comes to tasks the chip was specifically designed for. They also took some time to test out the Radeon 890M iGPU and were more than impressed.
It is still an iGPU, but you will get more than acceptable performance gaming at 1080p, with some games like Forza Horizon 5 and F1 23 able to run with high graphics settings enabled. When you take advantage of FSR, even Cyberpunk 2077 is playable with the HX 370. It could make an interesting choice for a gaming laptop significantly cheaper than the MSI one below this post, except for one small problem. The NPU inflates the price of the laptop to around $1700!
Today we are taking a closer look at the Radeon 890M iGPU that’s found within the brand new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU. Of course, Mat already reviewed the ASUS Zenbook S 16 laptop that uses this CPU at the end of July, so this isn’t out first hands on with the machine, but today's video is focused on one thing – gaming on the 890M!
