A friend of mine did something similar to this for a while

he purchased one of those cheap $100 800×600 projectors, and used it to project his skype window.

It would be cool if they would create a $30-50 accessory which uses a monocrome laser projector in order to display random sets of info just like the LCD’s on the logitech gaming keyboards, or better yet, if your PC is wall mounted, then have a projector, protect around the screen for many of the hud elements, that way more screen space can be devoted to the game, and lower risk of screen burn in.
