At $500, not even a limited
At $500, not even a limited version of freesync? meh
um i think its more of an
um i think its more of an issue of only being up to 75hz. Doesn’t take much to do 75fps with a mid range card now. new games like BF1 COD:IW I get 100-130fps on ultra settings at 1440p on gtx1080 so could easy get 75 outta 1070 or even maybe a 1060 with dropping some un-needed settings off ultra.
Then you need to rethink.
Then you need to rethink. There isn’t an issue with the max refresh rate set at 75hz, goodness no, lol.
This monitor is clearly aimed at the pro-sumer/professional that might sometimes game on it. By putting in VRR, even a very limited range of VRR like 30 – 75 or even 40 – 75 would GREATLY add value to the monitor with little to no additional cost.
But then, your whole spiel is focused on gaming only, open your eyes dude, not everything in life is about bragging about what fps your gfx card can run multiplayer games at.
My understanding is that IPS
My understanding is that IPS monitors really don’t benefit by being driven over 75hz since the pixels won’t change that fast.
??They have 165Hz+ IPS
??They have 165Hz+ IPS panels.
The issue you may be thinking of is when they use OVERDRIVE to force them to change quicker, and when done improperly it causes color distortion.
A high refresh rate has its
A high refresh rate has its CONS as well. You get SCREEN TEAR for example, unless you can output sufficiently high (or use a “HALF” method), or unless you have an Adaptive Sync monitor and the correct GPU.
It also boils down to PRICE. High refresh rate, quality panels are more expensive. If that’s something you want then there are options already.
If only there is one like S7
If only there is one like S7 Edge’s looks, a monitor that has the true meaning of zero bezel…
That is definitely a frame.
That is definitely a frame.
If it is anything like the
If it is anything like the frame on the Dell s2716dg, then it is quite thin(hopefully she won’t say that!) I’ve got the Dell and it is quite satisfying to see that thin bezel, makes me all excited to play some games.
I strongly doubt we’ll ever really see “bezel-less” displays anytime soon until the display itself is sturdy enough to be handled without breaking it. What I think will probably happen is monitors/tvs that have very slim bezels that are see-through, don’t recall seeing those (not that I would actually buy one, but someone link me if a tv/monitor does have see through bezels, i’d like to see it)
